DAMAGE IN SOUTH AFRICA. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. CAPETOWN, Nov. 29. A terrific hurricane struck parts of the south-eastern region of the Orange Free State to-day. Roofs of farm houses were carried away, trees were uprooted and stock was thrown down. The hurricane was followed by a destructive hailstorm, which ruined the wheat crops and all the fruit in the affected area. The inhabitants were in darkness for half an hour and were territled. At Smithfleld the roof of the native isolation hospital was blown off and carried 700 yards away. Trees of all sizes and outhouses were razed.
