A Moth aeroplane crashed at Plcton, near Bunbury. A passenger, Mr Cblin Teede, aged 23 years, was killed outright. The pilot, Stanley Catlett, aged 25 years died from injuries. About 'seventeen miles of railway line between Gipps and Kinalong were washed away in a terrific downpour of rain, and railway traffic to Broken Hill has been disorganised. The rainfall in the far west' was without parallel. Areas that had been dry for years are now inundated as a result of a monsoonal storm. Floods are expected in the upper Darling. '
