BARON von eckhardstein. \ '• LONDON, Nov. 22. The deah is announced from Hague of Baron Von Eckhardstein, the first husband of Lady Weigall. ADMIRAL SIR A. DUFF. RUGBY, Nov. 22. The death has occurred of Admiral Sir Alexander Duff, aged 71. Deceased had a long record of naval service. He was appointed director of the AntiSubmarine division of the war staff during the Great War. After serving as Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff until the end of the war Admiral Duff was knighted (K.C.8.) and from 1919 to 1922 was Commander-in-Chief of the China Station, being raised to the rank of full admiral in 1921.

MRS. ANNIE TROTTER. WARKWORTH, Thursday. The- death of Mrs. Annie Trotter, a few days after her 77th birthday, removed one of the pioneers of the Warkworlh district. Mrs. Trotter was born at Mullet Point. She is survived by six daughters, including Mrs. Kelly of Claudelands, and three sons.
