GENEROUS BEQUESTS.
yyjLL OF LATE MR D. GRANT, £3OIO FOR CHARITIESIN N.Z. AND SCOTLAND. i ' \ (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Friday. The will of the late Donald Grant, farmer, of Te Puke, whose estate has been sworn for probate purposes at under £IO,OOO, provides that £3OIU bo distributed among New Zealand and Scottish charities. The Salvation Army and Presbyterian Bible Society, Auckland, are each bequeathed £335; the Little Sisters of the Poor, £270; Leslie Presbyterian Orphanage, Auckland, £2(O. -Among other bequests are £l3o to the Blind Institute and £135 to the Otago Medical School for tuberculosis research; Glen Urquhart Nursing Association, Glen Urquhart, Inverness, ■Scotland, £335; Inverness Infirmary, Scotland, £335, towards the upkeep of the Olcn-Urquhart bed; Dr. Bainarclo’s Home, London £270; Tauranga Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, £135; Tauranga Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, £135 for expenditure upon a Te Puke maternity home for any special accommodation or convenience required; Presbyterian Church, Te Puke, £135; Y.M.C.A., Auckland, £135; Te Puke Plunket Society, £7O. The bequests also included an area of land for a church site at Ohinepanei to the Presbyterian Church.
Burled on Top of Hill. Mr Grant was a bachelor, aged 80 years. He formerly lived in the Palmerston North district. His will directs that he be burial on top of a hill on his farm at a spot marked by himself .with a totara post.
