AUTOMATIC SMOOTH GRIP.
CHAIN GRAB WIRE STRAINER. SEE AT THE SHOW. E- HAYES & SONS’ DISPLAY. Mechanical aids to efficiency in fanning methods warrant every’ attention. The display which Messrs E. Hayes and Sons, manufacturers, of Oturehua, Otago, make at the Waikato A. and P. Show this summer is especially appealing. The Hayes Automatic Smooth Grip Wire Strainer, which will be demonstrated daily’, travels automatically along the chain, leaving the operator's both hands free to pull and to fasten the wire. Strainer is fitted with smooth grips and therefore will strain barbed or plain wire without injury. Testimonials received from all parts of the Dominion and Australia indicate the efficiency of this strainer, which will save the cost of itself in a week. The Firm’s Permanent Wire Strainer is the only method of keeping short strains tight by' using one on each wire.
Hayes’ latest Fork Chain Gate Fastener for use on heavy gates or sheep yards should also be inspected, together with their very efficient Circular Ring Fastener, which cannot jam or hold up. Another feature of this exhibit is Hayes’ Cow Lock. Tills cow lock is sanitary, strong and practically everlasting* and does away with the old style rope which has to he replaced so frequently. Visitors to this year’s exhibition should not fail to see this exhibit, which is situated in the centre of the commercial exhibits. Farmers and fencers will do well to secure a free copy of the firm’s latest catalogue direct or from the Firm’s representative on Ihe Show stand. 2 62
