CLEARING SALE AT GORDONTON. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report having held a clearing sale at Gordonton, on account of Mr C. G. Johnston, when the offering comprised a number of sundries and his' herd of cows and heifers. The demand centred principally around heifers, which in comparison with recent / ruling rates sold well, particularly for anything showing quality. They quote:—Best Jersey heifers, in milk, £6 10s to £8 15s; 'good milking heifers and cows, £5 5s to £6 os; poorer quality do., £4 to £5; inferior up to £3 15s; six-year mare, £27. A usual assortment of farm sundries all found buyers at the usual rates.
