HIB RETIREMENT ANNOUNCED.
DUNEDIN, Wednesday,
At a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Anglican Diocese the resignation of Bishop Richards was announced. The date was not fixed.
Right Rev. Isaao Riohards, Bishop of Dunedin, was born-in 1859.- He-was ordained priest in 1883, and appointed curate of St. Mark’s, Auokland, in 1886; warden of Selwyn College, Dunedin, 1895; vicar of Tuapeka, 1900; vicar of St. John’s, Invercargill, 1916. He became Bishop of Dunedin in 1920.
