OBITUARY.
LADY BUTLER. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received Oct. 3, 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 2. The death is announced of Lady Butler, the well-known artist. She painted ,a number of war pictures including “Roll Call," “Balaclava, ’’ "Inkerman,” “Defence of Rorke’r Drift,” etc. MR. ALEXANDER NAISMITH. WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The death has occurred of Mr Alexander Naismith, formerly superintending steward in the Union Company. Mr. Naismith, who was 73 years of age, was in the employ of the company for 40 years and retiretf seven years ago.
MRS. R. S. LATTA. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. The death occurred on Sunday, at the age of 87 years, of Mrs. It. S. Latta, formerly of Ponsonby. She had spent 78 years in Auckland. MR. F. F. CONSTABLE. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. The death occurred at Glen Eden, of Mr. F. F. Constable, at the age of 64 years. Mr. Constable was born a( Thames.
MRS C. V. CROSBY. P AERO A, Monday. The death occurred in Auckland yesterday morning of Mjs C. V. Crosby, an early resident of the Paeroa and Goldfields districts. Mrs Crosby was the owner and licensee of the Royal Mail hotel, Paeroa.
