WELCOME AT CHRISTCHURCH. TRIBUTES TO lIIS SERVICES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. A reception to the Hon. G. W. Forbes, at which lie gave an account of the visit of the New Zealand delegation to the World Economic Conference, was held last night, having been arranged by the Economics Committee of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce. There was a gathering of •250 persons, representing business, commercial and farming interests. Mr W. Macliin, who presided, said Canterbury honoured itself in welcoming the Prime Minister home again from his crusade in Iho interests of the Dominion and the world. The president of (he Chamber, Mr A. F. Wright., said the gathering was arranged to do honour to Canterbury's foremost son, whom all admired for his abundant common-sense and sterling Integrity. Mr Forbes' address was on the lines of his previous addresses.
