SUCCESSFUL DANCE
AT WAITERIMU. A successful dance xvas held in the Waiterimu-Matahuru Hall recently, In aid nr the hall funds. The dance xvas organised by Miss Turner, or the Mataburu School Old English country dances xvero a reature of the evening, the dancers being becomingly attired in Old English style with powder and patches. Those taking part in these dances were Misses t Fitness, .7. Harrison, M. McGovern. 1.. Turner; Messrs C. beghle, R. McGovern, C. Harrison, J. McNally. The winner of the itirky-number cake was Mr McGovern (Maiahuru). The novel I v spot waltz winners were Miss 1L s on- and Mr Swift. The Monte Carlo was'won by Miss P. Fitness and Mr 11. Porter, and the Snowball dance winners Miss I.amle and Mr Lnwry. ' Mien's orchestra (Hunt ly) supplied excellent music and oxtras were played by Urn Misses Muir. Marjorie Wallace, Messrs Ward and H. Irving.
