THEFT OF JEWELLERY,

RING OFFERED TO OWNER. BURGLARY AT DUNEDIN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Saturday. Arrested last night by a detective while allegedly attempting to sell a ring belonging to the detective himself, William Palmer Foley was charged in the Police Court with breaking and entering the shop of Percy Lawrence Dawson and stealing a diamond ring. He was remanded for a week. The police stated that the ring had been left by the detective for repair. Jewellery totalling £35 in value was stolen.
