FELL THROUGH WINDOW,

SHOP ASSISTANT’S MISHAP. DEEP CUTS SUSTAINED. Deep cuts on the head and arms, and injuries to the right eye were sustained by Ralph Joyes, aged about 24 years, when he 'fell through a plate-glass window door at the premises of Hooker and Kingston, Ltd., early this afternoon. Joyes is employed as a window-dresser at Hooker and Kingston’s shop.

There were no witnesses of the aocidcnt, but it Is thought that he failed to notice the door was closed, when he was descending a staircase with a plate glass window shelf and fell through the door when he struck it with the shelf. The wounds bled profusely, and necessitated the insertion of a number of stitches.
