ANNUAL REUNION.

HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL.

SUCCESSFUL FUNCTIONS. The annual re-union of the Hamilton High School Old Girls was held on Saturday at the school. During the day. which was a beautifully line one, the following functions took place:—

ANNUAL MEETING. There was a large attendance of Old Girls at the reunion held at the school on Saturday. -Miss D. Clegg presided over the annual meeting. The annual report and balance-sheet disclosed a very satisfactory state of affairs. r lhe association has held several functions with -the view to keeping the old girls in touch with one another during the winter months. The annual tennis afternoon was a great success. Election of Officers. The following officers were elected: President, Mrs W. 11. Allen; vicepresidents, Mrs J. Standrin, Mrs R. Conradi, Mrs A. P. Nelson; lion, secretary, Miss D. Wilkes; assistant lion, secretary, Miss M. Houghton; committee, Misses D. Speight, D. Clegg, M. Langley. M. and ,J. Campbell, G. Hodgson, P. Sorbv, M. Shaw, G. MacMiken; country representatives: Auckland, Mrs G. Rowe, Mrs 11. “Ward; Momnsville, Mrs P. H. Baxter; Matamala, Mrs 11. G. Keelcy; Te Awamutu, Mrs Godfrey; Napier, Miss E. Storey; Wellington, Miss M. Cliff. Mr Eh-en Wilson, the principal of the school, addressed the meeting and outlined the activities of the school during the year. A very interesting statement was the reading of the rolls for tlie earliest years of the school. Mrs J. A.lan also spoke.

BASKETBALL. In the basketball games, past v. present pupils, School A defeated Old Girls seniors by 22 points to 12, while the Old Girls juniors won from School B by 10 points to 8. ANNUAL DINNER. The annual dinner was held at the Centreway Tearooms and -proved a great success, over 100 old girls being -present. Musical items were rendered by Mrs J. J. Standrin, Mrs R. ANNUAL DANCE. The annual re-union dance was held in the school hall in the evening and proved a very successful function. Mr and Mrs Eben Wilson received the many guests, the latter wearing a charming frock of saracen red Chantilly lace, worn with a small coat of the same material. The hall had been decorated with red and black flowers and streamers and the Old Boys’ badge hung from the wall at one end of the hall. 'Music for the dancing was played by Dave Shaw’s Melody Boys. During the evening a delicious supper was served. Midnight brought the dance to a close and marked the end of one of the most successful reunions held by the school.
