Although the majority were of good quality competition was not as keen as last sale, and the prices if anything eased slightly. Dairy cattle. Another heavy yarding of dairy cattle came forward. CLEARANCE SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report as follows on a clearing sale held cn Friday at Parawera on account of Mr Gordon J. Walker. The vendor’s offering consisted of SO cows mostly in milk, about 15 sow pigs and a number of smaller pigs and also a few sundries. 'A very large attendance of mostly local purchasers bid keenly In order to secure cows which they know to be genuine, and were prepared to advance to prices considerably better than those ruling at outside * stock sales.
