Japanese friendship for Britain Is stronger than ever, although the Enhance has been abrogated and trade disputes existed, declares Count Ishii, when interviewed regarding Japan’s expansion policy. The Count characterised as simply Incomprehensible” the fears of Japanese expansion in the direction of the Pacific Islands. He declared Japan had no territorial ambition. She merely wanted peaceful business with foreign countries.
