SYD BECK GETS IT IN “TAP YOUR FEET.” “Good night, sweethearts!" cried Ella Shields to her audience in the New Tivoli revue, "Tap Your Feet.” And in appreciation of her leading comedian’s good work, she kissed her index finger with a superbly feminine and roguish gesture, and placed it on Svd Beck’s mouth. Better than most artists, Ella Shields understands the glamour of the singe and radiates it.. When she left the theatre after both performances large crowds were waiting to see her, and 'children pressed flowers and autograph books into her hands. , , , , Her songs were delicately balancer. In include grave and gay. “Jolly Good Company,” followed by “Hear Hid liii'l," was well offset by "When the Bloom Is on the Heather." “Burlington Bertie” followed.
