A course record of 2.17} for a.mile and three furlongs was established hy Oro in winning the Rosehill Spring Handicap at the Rosehill meeting yesterday. the New Zealand horse inflation won the Camellia Stakes by two lengths and the New Zealand-bred colt Blixton scored in the Rosehill Guineas, in which the Aucklandowned Limarch was third. _ Silver Scorn was a complete disappointment in the Hill Stakes, failing to show the dash 'She displayed when she finished third in the Chelmsford Stakes a week previously. The Sun says that Inflation showed none of his scratchiness when beginning and finished with a burst of speed which augurs well for his future prospects. Referring to Blixten’s win in the .Rosehill Guineas, the Sun stated that he was first away, but was last at the half-mile. He was wide out at the turn, but ran on well to win. Blixten completely rehabilitated himself. Limarch ran a great race considering the trouble he has had in his heels. Bay Tree and Deputy Ruler ran only moderately in the Rosehill Guineas. Miramond was unplaced in the first division of the High-weight Handicap. Cottesmore was unplaced in the Camellia Stakes, in which he ■made the turn badly. The Moonee Valley Steeplechase, of £IOOO, about 2j miles, at the Moonee Valley Racing Club’s meeting yesterday, was won by the six-year-old gelding Trafalable, by Trafalgar, from Passable. The outsider. Daily Mail was second and Green Don third. Ruach (W. Elliott) won the Jubilee Handicap, of £SOO, li miles, with Gay Girl second and Legatl third. Middle Watch (Breasley) scored in the Gorroboreo Handicap, of £3OO, 7 fur. 60 yards, from Tadema and L’Elite. MISHAP TO LIMARCH. AUTOPAY UNDER A CL'OUD. SYDNEY, September 15. The Derby colt Limareh, owned by Messrs O. Nicholson and E. R. Davis, of Auckland, and tranied by .1. T. Jamieson, has recently been suffering from a split heel. He struck himself while galloping with Panjandrum yesterday and may nnl start in the Roselrlll races to-morrow. Anlopay is still under a cloud. Cottesmore and Inflation are doing well on Ibe tracks and arc expected to give a good accounl of themselves shortly.
