WEDDING.

RYRIE—WHITE. The marriage was solemnised at the Presbyterian Church, Waharoa, on Thursday, July 27, 1933, between Agnes Jean Gibson, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs J. M. White, of Waharoa, and Alexander George, eldest son of Mr and Mrs A. G. Ryrie, of Te Kauwhata. Rev. Hampton, of Matamata, officiated, and Mrs Hampton played the wedding musio. The churoh was decorated by friends of 'the bride, and a large wed-ding-bell composed of New Zealand heather was suspended above the •bridal party. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a slim-fitting gown of cream silk marocain. La'ce godet-s were inset in the full skirt, and the puff sleeves were finished with long tight cuffs of corresponding lace. A beautiful embroidered tulle veil fell from a Juliet cap of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of spring flowers and asparagus fern. The bridesmaids, Miss Alison Whyte, cousin of the bride, and Miss Edna Keam (Tauranga), wore similar frocks of blue crepe de chine with blue velvet shoulder capes and velvet toques to match. Heather Scott, niece of the bride, was flower-girl, and wore a gold shot taffetas frock, 80-Peep hat, and muff to tone. Mr John Ryrie, brother of the groom, and Mr James White, brother of the bride, were best man and groomsman respectivelyLater, Mr and Mrs White held the reception at the Kensington Tea Rooms, Matamata, where the bride’s mother received the guests wearing a frock of black angel skin lace, trimmed with white georgette, and ermine cravat collar. 'She wore a bla'ck ana white felt hat to match, and carried a posy of violets. Mr and Mrs A. G. Ryrie, junr., left for the honeymoon, the bride travelling in a frock of nigger silk marocain over which she wore a nigger diagonal cloth coat, with fur cravat collar and velvet toque to match. Their future home will be at Te Kauwhata.
