WAITOA SCHOOL.

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. At the monthly meeting of the Waitoa School Committee the chairman (Mr A. Scudder) presided over a full attendance. The headmaster reported that e£ number of children were enthusiastic regarding the calf club, and It was anticipated that a number would keep calves for competition. A big fair and baby show are to bo held in October. A meeting of parents is to be held shortly to make arrangements. The school roll is 91 and the average attendance is satisfactory. Owing to the sawmill having removed from Waitoa to Tauhei the number of children attending the school ha® been considerably reduced.
