The threatening attitude of the Upper House Mohmands towards the loyal Halimzai tribe continues, and developments are being carefully watched. The Upper Mohmands have appealed for assistance /from the other Mohmand tribes and meanwhile the deputy-Gommissioner for Peshawar attended a satisfactory jirga of Lower Mohmands on Sunday at Shalkadad, when the Government was thanked for its promised help and informed that British and Indian troops would be welcomed in their territory.
