ELECTRIC TRAINS.

The Victorian Railway commissioners are inviting tenders from overseas for the supply of Diesel electric motors, preparatory to the introduction of Diesel electrio trains. The Commissioners estimate that country trains can run on oil at onethird of the cost per mile of steam trains relying on coal.
