RUGBY FOOTBALL.
HAMILTON .UNION. 6 S 3 ; MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. The weekly meeting of Ihe Hamilton Rugby Union management committee was held on Tuesday evening, Mr S. E. Senior presiding. A circular letter from the New Zealand Rugby Union referring to rough and illegal tactics, was received and it was decided to forward a copy of the circular letter to all clubs. An invitation to the fourth grade representatives to play Waipa third repesentatives at Te Awamutu was declined as the local team had aleady travelled once this season.
On application from the primary schools the usual grant was made for the schools’ annual trip to Pukekohe in quest of the Roller Mills Shield. Owing to the continued wet weather it was decided that the midweek match be played on No. 2 ground. The fixtures committee submlttied their report, and it was decided to offer the Tauranga Union a game at Hamilton, and the Rotorua Union a game at Rotorua,, both on September 16 E. Keith was regraded from Te Kultl seniors to Te Kowhai juniors.

JUNIOR ADVISORY BOARD. Mr H.,Layne presided at the usual weekly meeting of the Junior Board. The transfer of A. Sutherland from Ngahinapouri to Frankton Juniors applied for a month ago, was agreed to, upon the produoti.on of the necessary clearance. The Kiwi Club is to be written to for an explanation of Its action In playing an unregistered player. ■V request from the High School Club to be allowed to play two Thames High School teams at Hamilton on Saturday was agreed to. E. Keith (Te Kowhai), was recommended for regrading from senior to junior. The board at the request of the Marist Brothers’ High School Club transposed the third and fifth Saturday's of the second round of the third grade championship, the third day now taking place on the 12th. inst.
