Sunday 60.0 4CLO Monday 54.0 52.0 The barometer reads 29.75 with a-falling tendency. Expect a ‘continuance of unsettled weather to-day, with heavy showers. Mild temperature, northerly winds prevailing. Later veering to a southerly direction, when improved conditions may be expected. 0.53 points of rain fell during the past 24 hours. Mean temperature 53 degrees. SGUTH AUCKLAND AREA. ;By Govt. Meteorologist.) The apeclal forecast by the Government meteorologist covering the WalkatoTharoea Valley area is as follows: Forecast: Moderate to fresh north-west winds backing to south-westerly. Wea : ther changeable with scattered showers and becoming cooler. Seas moderate. General Inference: Yesterday’s depression Is now_ passing east of the Dominion, and an anti-cyclone is moving from Australia on to the Tasman Sea. THE RAINFALL. (Recorded at Ruakura.)
