Fair business done In No. 1 for August-October shipment, which sold at £l7 15s, and for OctoberDecember shipment, £lB. New Zealand: Market unchanged. Fruit.—Better demand for New Zealand fruit, and larger business has been done. SPrices are:—Granny Smith, 10s to 15s; Dougherty, Delicious and Statesman, 10s 6d to 11s 6d; Sturmer, Rokewood, Frimley and Rome Beauty, 10s 6d to 11s; Ballarat, Dunn's, Yates, Stone Pippin and Brighton, 9s 9d to 10s 3d; Jonathan, Newton Pippin and Cleopatra, 9s 3d to 9s 9d. Pears: Winter Nells, cases, 14s 6d; f’s, 11s 6d; J’s, 5s 9d; trays, 4s; P. Barry, cases 12s. Eggs.—Market firm, with upward tendency. English: National pack, 11s 6d to 15s. English: Ordinary pack, 11s to 12s; Danish, 7s to 10s.

Peas.—Market Is inactive. "A” grade Tasmania for July-August shipment, sellers ask 46s to 46s 6d. No. 1 New' Zealand afloat sold at 455. Fair average quality for July-August shipment 425. Blues: Market very dull. Sellers of “A” grade Tasmania afloat ask 14s Gd.

CAMBRIDGE SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., I! multon, report on their tri-weekly Cambridge stock sale held on Monday as follows: —

A good average yarding of fat and store cows contained only a few qual:!y animals the bulk being medium to inferior. Generally late rates were ■obtained and a total clearance was effected. Another very heavy yarding of dairy cattle were principally plain conditioned, though a few nice heifers were yarded. Although a very large attendance of buyers were present bidding was hesitant and prices tended to favour purchasers, but most vendors met the market. In the pig section the entry again was almost tuMrgly stores and weaners, and a few porkers. A keen demand was in evidence and competition was lively. We quote: Good quality fat cow and heifer beef, £3 15s to £4 7s fid; medium, £2 17s 6d to £3 12s Gd; lighter, £2 8s to £2 15s; forward, billable, £1 17s 6d to £2 ss; good stores, £1 8s to £1 13s; others £1 Is to £1 7s 6d; fair quality yearling heifers, £1 15s to £2 ss; best dairy heifers, early calvers, £6 to £7; good Jerseys, £4 15s to £5 15s; others, late £3 10s to £4 10s; best Jersey cows, £5 10s to £6 10s; good conditioned early, £4 15s to £5 10s; others up to £4 10s; medium porkers, £1 8s to £1 13s; .stores, 19s to £1 4s; slips. 14s to 18s; large weaners, 11s to 13s; smaller to 10s.
