PRINCIPAL ON LEASE. CHATEAU COMING IN AGAIN. (Special to Times). TE AROHA, Friday. G. A. Reid, who has taken out a trainer’s license for next season, has arranged a lease of Mr T. Impey’s Principal (Thespian—which will be located at the racecourse stables. I-Ie will have Chateau in work again shortly, and It is expected that during August other horses will Join the team. H. Eva was a visitor to Te Aroha this week, and received a cordial welcome from many local sportsmen. He Is applying for a trainer’s license for the coming season, and his Intention is to train either In the Waikato or Te Aroha. When In Te Aroha previously Eva ranked as one of the most successful trainers. It Is highly probable that he will not be long In getting a team together. At present his son Is lddklng after two thoroughbreds pending Eva’a decision on his training looation. PAKURANGA HUNT. ENTRIES FOR CHIEF EVENT. AUCKLAND, Saturday. Nominations for the principal events at the Pakuranga Hunt raoe meeting at Ellerslle on August 26 are as follows: JELLICOE HANDICAP. Of £200; 1£ miles. Wills, in whose care he was on his’ trip last Easter. No rider has been obtained for him yet In the Epsom, but It Is hoped to have the services of T. Webster (who .won the La Perouse Handicap on him at the A.J.C. Autumn Meeting In April) in some of his races on the present trip. • His joint owners, Messrs. N. E. Altlcen and H. F. Wood, will be going aoross at the end of next month or early in September.
