One strut was broken and four ‘ others were damaged. The accident occurred during a heavy thunderstorm. The petrol was run out and the crippled maohine was eventually jacked up to avoid damage from the incoming tide. Mr Ulm says the flight will be resumed as soon as repairs have been effected. In the meantime military are guarding the monoplane.'
