Thursday ~ 57.00 36.00 Friday ... 58.0 40.0 The barometer has very little movement, and reads 30.40. r Indications are for fair to overcast weather to-day with seasonable temperature. South-easterly winds prevailing, followed by cloudy conditions. Six degrees of frost were recorded this morning. Mean temperature; 49 degrees. SCUTH AUCKLAND AREA. ;By : Govt. Meteorologist.) The special forecast by the Government meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley area Is as follows : Forecast: Moderate to strong east to north winds reaching gale force in places. Weather Ape at first and mild, but clouding over tomorrow with rain developing. Seas.rather rough. General Inference: The -cyclone reported yesterday over the north Tasman Sea has filled up owing to the development of a more extensive one in the rear of it over south eastern Australia, where conditions are very disturbed.-The spread of unsettled weather over New Zealand has therefore been delayed somewhat.
