PRESENTATION.

FOOTBALLER HONOURED. The Matamata Football Club tendered an enthusiastic farewell to the well-known Waikato and Matamata representative footballer, Mr A. Story, who is leaving Matamata to pursue farming operations at Whatawhata. At a smoke concert there were about 50 present, including representatives from the Rugby Union and all the local clubs. Mr J. H. Hawes occupied the chair and there was a lengthy toast list. •In presenting the departing guest with a handsome travelling rug Mr Hawes referred to Mr Story’s long and valuable services to Rugby football in the Waikato, and wished him every success in Whatawhata. The toast of Mr Story’s health was drunk with musical honours.
