CLAIM FOR DAMAGES.

SCHOOLMASTER NONSUITED. KICK FROM RACEHORSE. AUCKLAND, Thursday. Arising out of injuries suffered through a man being kicked by the racehorse Sir Val, a claim for damages was brought in the Magistrate’s Court this morning by Mr Spencely Walker, schoolmaster, Mount Eden, against William Curham and Clarence Curham, owner and trainer. Plaintiff was going to the races at Ellerslie on Easter Saturday. lie was approaching the entrance to the, Hill, with his wife, when the horse was led out. It reared back and plaintiff turned slightly at the noise, and was struck on the side of the face. The incident was witnessed by a traffic inspector. Plaintiff was nonsuited, with costs.
