WEDDING,

JOHNSON-RENNIE. The wedding was celebrated on Wednesday afternoon, July 26, at the Methodist. Church, Te Awamutu, of Miss Winifred Hazel Rennie, youngest daughter of Mr A. Rennie and the late Mrs Rennie, of Halrini, Te Awamutu, and Mr G.ordon' William Johnson, of Hairirii, second son of Mr and Mrs G. G. Johnson, of Palmerston North. Rev. Jefferson was the officiating minister. The bride, who w r as given away by her father, wore ivory satin beaute, cut on slender lines, trimmed with pink orange blossoms. Her full and flowing ivory tulle veil was arranged in coronet fashion with orange, blossom, and she carried a sheath of sweet peas and carnations. Miss Agnes Rennie attended her sister as bridesmaid wearing turquoise blue satin beaute inset with reversed satin. She wore a blue felt hat and shoes to tone, and she carried a dainty bouquet of oina sweet peas ancl daphne. Mr Leslie Johnson carried out the duties of best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Daffodil Tea Rooms. Mrs J. Sterritt, sister of the bride, receiving the guests in a frock of blue> lace and georgette'. Later the happy couple left 'for their honeymoon, the bride travelling in a navy tailored costume and set of , furs, the gift of her father. Mr and Mrs Johnson will make their home at “The Meadows,” Hairini.
