GERMAN PIRATES.
SEIZURE OF SHIP. CREW AND PASSENGERS KILLED. A SENSATIONAL STORY. - VESSEL RUN ASHORE. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. SHANGHAI, July 1. A remarkable story of murder and piracy on the high seas conies from Dairen. A few days ago a Chinese owned steamer, the Shen Ah, left Tientsin for Shanghai. The master, Captain Kikhman, a Russian, who was occompanied by his wife, gave passages to five men who had stowed away. In the open sea about 200 miles from Shanghai, these passengers murdered tho captain, his wife, the Russian mate and seven members of the Chinese crew who offered resistance. The bodies were thrown overboard. Tho pirates then took control of the vessel in which they planned to cross the Pacific and gain some American port. There they proposed to sell t'he ship and her cargo. Needing additional provisions they put in to Toshigaura, near Dairen, but bacl navigation put the ship ashore. The murderers absconded, but later Japanese policemen arrested three Germans, Captain Taudin and two other named Schuler and Beeton. Two of the gang, Gauch (a Swiss) and Muller (a German), escaped, but tneir capture is regarded as certain.
