South Island Dairy Production.— The production of butter and cheese in the South Island for 1932-33 showed an increase of 25 per cent over the previous year. Generally speaking, states the annual report of the South Island Dairy Association, the weather conditions were favourable to dairying throughout the year, and there was a large increase in the milk supply in all districts in the island. The main factor, however, was the greater number of cows being milked.
