CHURCH OF CHRIST.
THE ANNUAL MEETING.
There was a good attendance at the annual meeting of the Church of, Christ, Claudelands. Pastor J. Salis-V"' bury presided.
Reports from the various departments showed very satisfactory progress, and 18 new members had beefl added to the roll during the year t Each department was working well/ The pastor congratulated the church! on its achievement, the splendid spirlb of co-operation shown by members making for steady progress. The financial statement revealed ai credit balance of £l7.
Twenty-one reports from various departments were heard, and amongst others the following appointments were made for the ensuing year:—. ' Deacons, Messrs W. Westwater, F, Cooney, F. Phillips, A. Pearson, C. Knapp, P. Campbell and J. Ballard; secretary, Mr C. Knapp; treasurer, Mi; ■ W. Westwater; Sunday School superintendent, Mr F. Phillips; choir leader, Mr ,F. Cooney; temperance work, Mr T. H. Pearson and Mrs Blake; book room and literature steward, Mr G. Hoult; junior Christian Endeavour, Mrs Pearson and Miss C. Salisbury; visiting sisters, Mesdames Foster, Gadd, Polglase and Buick; organists, Messrs Westwater and A, Robinson; envelope secretary, Mr F, Robinson; auditor, Mr C. Knapp. Tha pastor was appointed representative to the New Zealand Alliance. It was decided to arrange for the renovating' of the interior of the church and to provide extra seats. At the conclusion of the business session the pastor was accorded a hearty vote of thanks and appreciate® for his work.
