OKAUIA.
The Weather. The weather has been wonderfully mild and herds, with few exceptions, are still being milked twioe dally. Cream carriers consider they are collecting considerably more than at this time last season. Valedlotory. Miss Grace Watt, who has resigned her position as sohool teacher, owing to her approaching marriage, Is visiting her parents. She was the recipient of a kitchen evening by the Methodist Bible Class. Her popularity was also recognised in a farewell by the residents. Sickness. Mr Don Harveys who has been laid up with gastric influenza, Is now on the way to recovery. Horse Gored by Bull. Mr J. Welch had the misfortune to have his horse badly gored by a bull whilst removing the latter from a paddock. Fortunately Mr Welch escaped injury himself. Personal. Mr W. O. Garland paid a short visit to the district recently. Mr C. Watt Is spending his holidays with his parents at Green Hill. Mr H. Marshall has returned home after recuperating in Auckland.
