OTOROHANGA INTERESTED.
MOVEMENT GROWING. That interest is rapidly growing In the- Douglas Social Credit Movement was strikingly exemplified by the large gathering which assembled in the Town Hall annexe at Otorohanga last evening. About a fortnight ago a meeting was held in the band room to form a branch of the movement in Otorohanga and on Tuesday evening the new branch called its first meeting. Over 200 people attended. Mr J. F. Trapski, the local chairman, presided, and a party of Hamilton members attended to outline the Douglas analysis and proposals. After an address by one of the Hamilton party a keen discussion followed, and at the conclusion of the meeting a 'large number of those present remained behind to enrol as members. It Is intended to form study groups in the outlying districts surrounding Otorohanga, and the dominion secretary, Mr A. R. AHardyce, will visit the new centre next week.
