The Bpeclal foreoast by the Government meteorologist covering the WaikatoThsrnes Valley area is a follows Forecast: Moderate to strong north-westerly winds, backing to south-west within 24 hours. Weather changeable and rather squally with intermittent and scattered rains. Temperatures cooler. Seas moderate. General Inference: Pressure is still high to the northeast of New 7 Zealand, while the last portion of an extensive westerly depression is crossing the South Island. An intense anti-cyclone is again developing over Australia so that another spell of southwesterly weather is probable. THE RAINFALL. (Recorded at Ruakura.)
