J. C. WILLIAMSON PANTOMIME. Frank Neil’s gorgeously mountec. and stupendous Drury Lane Pantomime “Cinderella” is to be staged under the direction of J. C. Williamson, Ltd., at the Theatre Royal, Hamilton, on Monday afternoon and evening next. Owing to the length of the pantomime the evening performance will begin sharply at 7.45. The matinee will start at 3 o’clock. It Js not only to the younger generation that a, fairy story appeals, because what adult . does not remember his first pantomime. In the days gone by we have had "Mother Goose," “Humpty Dumpty," “Aladdin," “Puss in Boots," “Dick Whittington and His Cat," and “The House that Jack Built,” and probably the story of Cinderella and her two ugly sisters Is the most popular of them all. One of the most picturesque effects in the production of “Cinderella” Is the glittering fairy coach drawn by beautiful -white ponies, with elegantly dressed coachman and footmen, and Cinderella, transformed by the Fairy Queen from a ragged littte kitchen' drudge into a magnificently dressed princess. There will he an abundance of humorous songs, dances and scenes, with George Wallace as Buttons, Syd. Beck as the Dame and Billie Maloney as the ugly/sister. -A'
The box plans will be opened on Friday morning next at nine o’clock. A queue will be formed from 8 a.m.
