Friday 59.0 50.0 Sunday 62.0 50.0 The barometer is steady at 30.30. Indications are for cloudy and unsettled weather to-day and to-morrow, with warm temperatures. Scattered showers. Winds chiefly from a north-westerly direction. 0.06 points of rain fell during the past 48 hours. Mean temperature 56 degrees. SOUTH AUCKLAND AREA. SPECIAL FORECAST. (3y Govt. Meterolcglst.) The special forecast by the Government meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley area is a follows : Forecast: Moderate to strong north-westerly winds. Weather becoming cloudy to overcast with rain developing. Temperatures mild, Seas moderate. General Inference: 'An anticyclone has passed the northern extremity of t'he Dominion, while a vigorous westerly depression consisting of several separate waves is advancing across the South ■ Tasman Sea.
