The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:—At Morrinsvillo stock sale on Friday last, an average yarding of sheep was penned, prices for fats being in advance of last sale, while store sheep maintained

late rates. A fair yarding of cattle changed hands at prices on a par with recent quotations. • Another very large yarding of fat pigs came forward, there being a larger percentage of baconers than there has been for the last few sales. Baconers met wHh keen competition, except just at the conclusion, when the buyers trucks were full. SALE OF RABBITSKINS. Dalgety and Company, Limited, Dunedin, reports that rabbitskins are now coming to hand more freely and with the cold weather lately experienced, the" quality is rapidly improving. They offered a good catalogue at last week’s sale, comprised (Chiefly of racks and autumns, with a fair quantity of Incoming and early winters, A sale listed for April 2‘4 was not held owing to small offerings and the uncertain state of the market, but at last week’s sale there was a very keen demand and prices for all grades from autumns up showed a sharp rise of from 4d to 6d per lb. Low grades were Id to 2d higher. The demand promised well for winter skins and the Arm does not think there is any doubt that trapping this season will be payable. The market has opened with prices for incomings and early winters about 6d per- lb., hfghej; than last year’s rates, and this should result in a substantial improvement in trappers’ returns.
