HAMILTON AMATEURS OUT.

J. TAYLOR MAKES FASTEST TIME,

Eight riders faced the starter In the Hamilton Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club’s road race from Steele Park to Cambridge and back, a distance of 26 miles, on Saturday afternoon. Conditions were favourable for the race, and good times were recorded. . D. Harris and Townsend, who both had the same handicap, smins 30secs, finished together to get first place, their time being thr 17mins. The back marker, J. W. Taylor, rode a great race to finish next, and register fastest time, thr 12mins 30secs. The fourth man to pass the judge was L. Hodgson (2mins), whose time was thr lomins.
