meeting of association. OTOROIIANGA, Saturday. The annual meeting of 'the New Zealand Co-operative Herd Testing Association was held yesterday, when the general manager, Mr T. J. Sheaf, addressed a good gathering of interested herdsmen. Mr P. D. Crowley (Paewhenua) occupied the chair. Mr Sheaf stated that the average Dominion lest had been considerably raised by herd testing, but there was much to bo done If they were to reach the lest which obtained in Denmark, where the whole of the cows on Ihe farm were tested and averaged, whether they were producing or not. The ilnaneial posilion of the association was sound. Though 10.000 more cows were lasted last year than in Ihe previous year the cost of Ihe service, was £7 i() lower. The number of cows being tested was I 15,000. Seventy groups were being lesled, and there were 'll aililiated associations. Group Committees. The.-election of group committees resulted: No. 1 Group, Messrs K. 0. it. Phillips, C. D. Hall and P. 11. ltowe; No. 1 Group, Messrs' P. D. Crowley, Ci. L. Palmer and It. S. Sircombc.
