CARS IN COLLISION

CHILD FATALLY INJURED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GREiYMOUTH, Thursday. Shirley Warnes, aged four years, was fatally injured following a collision between cars at Greymouth at mid-day. The girl, who was a daughter of Mr and Mrs Ashley Warnes, was sitting in the hack seat of a car driven by Harold Prescott, when a collision occured with a car driven by Thomas Craig, of Matal. Prescott’s car somersaulted-and the child was thrown out. The car came to rest on its side, lying on the child, who died on the way to the hospital. Prescott and Miss Marvel Warnes, who were also In the car, were not Injured.
