Meterolcgist.) The special forecast by the Government meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley area is a follows : Forecast: Fresh but decreasing southerly winds. Weather fine and cold with many frosts. Seas moderate. General Inference: An intense anti-cyclone is now centred over the Tasman Sea, its eastern side extending over New Zealand. After a prolonged spell-of high pres-; ■sure barometers are now falling over eastern Australia. THE RAINFALL. (Recorded at Ruakura.) Rainfall for 24 hours ended 9.30 this morning, .071ns. Rainfall for previous 24 aours .21ins. Total for April 3.B2ins. Rainfall for year to date, 15.33in5.
