WEDDING.

BELL—SHARPE. j i On Easter Monday the -wedding was solerrinised at Trinity Methodist ■Church, Wanganui, between Doreen 'Lilian, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Sharpe, of Gonville, Wanganui, and Archibald Bell, of Napier, son of Mrs L. A. Bell, Te Uku, and the late Mr C. C. Bell. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. Spencer, Mrs Hutchins •officiating at the organ, “My Prayer” 'being sung by Miss K. Blanchette, friend of the bride, at the commencement of the service. The church was decorated by Miss P. Spencer. The bride, who entered the churoh with her father, wore a frock of ivory satin beaute and chincbilll lace cut on classical lines. The beautiful embroidered veil was draped from beneath a circlet of orange blossom and fell to form a train. She carried a shower bouquet of cream roses, chrysanthemums and ferns, with streamers of bebe ribbon. The bride was attended by two bridesmaids and a flower girl.

Miss Elvie Sharpe, sister of the bride, the chief bridesmaid, and Miss Doris Sharpe, cousin of the bride, were dressed alike In model frocks of eau-de-nil marriette worn with pastel beige felt hats and mittens to tone. The bridesmaids carried autumntinted bouquets and wore gold fllet necklaces, gifts of the bridegroom. The flower girl, Loys Wilson, wore an early Victorian frock of shell pink marriette, and carried a basket of pink flowers.

The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Alan Bell, of Hawera, as best man, and Mr George Butler, Dannevirke, as groomsman.

The wedding was quiet owing to the sudden serious illness of the bride’s mother.

The future home of the bride and bridegroom will be in Napier. The bride travelled in a nigger brown ensemble. The bridal couple was given many beautiful gifts, Including a three-tier wedding cake from Mr and Mrs Whitehead, of Feilding,
