KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR. MAN FATALLY INJURED. ' AUCKLAND, Monday. Fatal injuries were received by Mr Henry Ernest Bond, aged 33, labourer, on Saturday when he was knocked down by a motor-car while crossing Symonds Street and was run over by a following car. The llrst car did not stop after the accident. 1
WOMAN KILLED. KNOCKED DOWN BY TRAMCAR. WELLINGTON, Saturday. Fatal head Injuries were received by Mrs Mildred Pippard when she was knocked down by a tramear In Kent Terrace yesterday. Mr Frederick Doell, aged DO, who was accompanying her, was also knocked down by Hie tram. He sustained a fractured right arm, abrasions to the bead and dhock.
CAR STRUCK BY TRAM. TWO MEN INJURED. WANGANUI, Sunday. When a motor-car capsized at a street intersection and was struck by an oncoming tram last night night, Mr William George May. aged 53, married, and Mr James Ivy, 32. single, received head injuries and shock. FOOTBALLERS INJURED. PAEROA, Saturday. During a Rugby match at Netherton to-day, two Netherton players, Hoy Morrison and W. Heappv collided violently. Both men were rendered unconscious and were carried off the field. AUCKLAND, Monday. \ member of the City Club’s senior learn, Charles Donald, dislocated his left shoulder while playing in a practice match on Saturday. \ Wei Is ford farm hand, Alan Inwood, aged 19, while playing football received an internal injury-which necessitated hts admission to the hospital.
