THE PRINCE OF WALES.
APPOINTED GOLF CLUB CAPTAIN.
The Prince of Wales will be tho new captain of the Worpl-esdon Golf Club, Broolcwood, Surrey, of which he has been a -member for some time. He will succeed Mr J. McMurray, who retires from office this month. “We are delighted at the news that the Prince is to be our new captain,” a member of the club told a Daily Express representative. “Our secretary, l\lr G. Goring Thomas, has already received showers of -congratulations by telephone and telegram. “The Prince plays a good game at golf and Is very fond of this course. Whenever he -comes for a game he is always sure to meet a number of Ills friends, for this is the course on which the golfers of the Brigade of Guards play. They are known as ‘military members.’ The Prince has played in many a match with them. “As captain of the club the Prince will arrange team matches, select players, and, we hope, preside at tho various functions, including the annual dinner."
