The Weather. The weather has been fine for the holidays, although slight southerly winds prevailing at times have been rather detrimental to the growth of grass. The Walhi Federal Band, who were competing in the contest at Hamilton, Journeyed to the Opal Springs on Sunday and their musical renderings were much appreciated by the large number present. Personal. „ Mr and Mrs C. McCartney, -of Auckland, were the guests of Mr and Mrs M. J. Wooderson, for the Easter vacation. Atrs E. C. McCormack, who recently underwent an operation, is progressing. favourably. Mr 11. Marshall is recuperating in Auckland. Mrs E. Brindle, who had been in hospital for a period, lias returned home and is making steady progress towards recovery. Mrs E. Breda, of Auckland is the guest of Mr and Mrs F. Underwood. Miss M. Brindle is spending a few days in the To Awamutu district. Mrs Carl Williamson, of Auckland, was the guest of Mrs M. Were over the holidays. Mr and Mrs R. Pearce, of Remuera, and Miss M. Murrey, of Auckland, are the guests of Mr and Mrs A. .T. Carter. Mr and Mrs N. East, of Matahuru, were the guests of Mr and Mrs W. 11. Barton for a few days.
