MATANGI.

Missionary Meeting. There was a large attendance at the monthly meeting of the Matangi branch of the Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union, which was held at Mrs J. Shaw’s residence on Thursday afternoon. Mrs T. Thompson presided. Letters from Miss Matthew and ■Miss Hardie, in India, were read by Mrs Hay, and Mrs Cameron read a letter from Mrs MoNeur in China. Extracts from Miss Henderson’s book on India and from the Harvest Field were read by Mrs Thompson. Arrangements were made for Mrs Davison to pack the bags to be sent to the Mfori Mission station next month. After the meeting Mrs Shaw entertained the ladies to afternoon tea.
