Easter Pooketmoney. The crowds that attended the OtoTO'hanga sports on Monday, and the ball in the evening paid £351 In admission charges alone, and it is estimated by showmen -and stall-holders that not less than £IOOO was spent on amusements and refreshments on the sports ground. The Weather. 'Cold and wintry weather with moderate rainfall has followed the mild and pleasant autumn-like conditions that characterised Easter week. Scouts Camp for Easter. The Otorohanga troop of boy scouts have returned from their Easter camp at Te Anga. The camp was run in conjunction with St. Peter’s troop (Hamilton). Sports. In the progressive pairs bowling tournament the winner of the skips was A. T. Gullum, and of the leads, V. Landman, both winning the five games- played. Some interesting golf contests were ■staged during the holidays. On Saturday afternoon the principal competition was won by C. Hot-son, with the -score of 73—4—-G9. In the four ball competition C. Hotson and Mcßobic registered 695 —64 against Pilklngton and Quinlan, 77 11—66. In the ladies’ competition Mrs 'Hotson and 'Miss Morley, 94—19-— : 75, defeated 'Miss N. Kerr and Miss McKerras, 98—20—78.
