LONDON DEALER’S COMMENT. While in Australia Mr Hutson visited several of the large meat works which were experimenting in .tiie shipping of chilled beef to London and actually saw some of it shipped on tiie Mooltan. “In my experience the journey from Australia lo London is too far for Hie chilling process,” said Mr Hutson. “What I saw at Sniithflcld was enough for me. 1 was thinking of buying some, but it turned out so bad that we could not touch it. That was six months ago. t have had no experience of New Zealand chilled beef, so can pass no opinion on if. "I have handled some New Zealand frozen beef though. It was not so bad. but you will have lo improve the quality a good deal lo compete on all fours 'with the Argentine beef. “Last year i bandied 500 carcases of your frozen pork. There again Hie quality could be improved, bill, all Hie same I had no complaints about, it." Mr Hutson, who was a guest of Hie Wellington Hotary Club (being a member of the Marylehone Rotary Club), will be in New Zealand fur another five or six weeks.
